This policy explains what information GLO Marketplace collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Name, phone number, city, and neighbourhood/area, and — for sellers — shop details, business documents (for verification), and listing photos. Location data is collected only if you choose to add a map location to a listing.
GLO requests camera and photo library access only when you choose to add a photo to a listing or your profile. GLO does not access your camera or photos at any other time.
Location access is optional and used only to help you tag a listing's location on the map or find listings near you. You may use GLO fully without granting location access. Separately from map location, sellers select a city and — in some cities — a neighbourhood or area when publishing, so buyers can filter listings by area.
To operate your account, process payments through our payment providers, verify your phone number by SMS, display your listings to other users, and send you service-related notifications.
Payments are processed by licensed third-party providers — currently Chapa and SantimPay. GLO never stores your card or wallet credentials. We retain only the transaction reference, amount, and status needed to confirm your purchase and support you if something goes wrong.
GLO uses Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring to understand how the app is used, diagnose crashes, and improve reliability. This includes technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash diagnostics, and anonymous usage events. It is not used to identify you personally and is not sold to anyone.
Every seller profile displays a Trust Score — a percentage calculated from information already associated with that seller account: phone verification, identity verification, business verification, and how long the account has existed. This score is visible to anyone viewing the seller's page, including people who are not signed in. It is generated automatically from these factors and is not a guarantee or endorsement by GLO of any seller.
Sellers appear in browsable directories organised by business category and city. A seller's public profile — shop name, category, city, photo, verification status, Trust Score, and listings — can be found this way by any user, including people who are not signed in.
Your profile information (name, city, shop details, and — for sellers — your phone number and social links) is visible to other users of the app so that buyers can find and contact sellers. Seller phone numbers are shown on listings to enable direct calls. Buyer profiles are visible to signed-in users only.
Users can report a listing they believe breaks these rules. Reports are reviewed by GLO. Where a report is upheld, GLO may remove the listing, restrict the seller's ability to publish new listings, or suspend the account. Reports include the reporting user's account identifier so we can follow up and prevent abuse of the reporting system itself.
You may request account deletion at any time. You may contact gloappsupport@gmail.com with any privacy questions or requests.
